UN Envoy to Syria - UN Special Envoy Kofi Annan has resigned from his mission to Syria as a bloody civil war continues. UC Davis Professor Keith Watenpaugh is an expert on Syria and has been following the situation closely. He joins us to explain what Annan's resignation means for Syria and who will take over for the former U.N. secretary-general.

Curiosity Landing - NASA's rover "Curiosity" is expected to touchdown on Mars late Sunday, August 5. Jim Jensen is a planetary geologist who has composed numerous studies on space mission analysis and design.

The Kimberly Trip - Sacramento indie group The Kimberly Trip is releasing its new album "Unicorns, Glitter, and Heartbreak" during a performance at Bella Vista High School Saturday, August 11. The concert is also a benefit for a high-school friend who is battling stage 4 breast cancer.
